Since I didn't get any play drawing done on the 6th I decided to just do some play drawing for this day and wow I'm surprised I didn't get immediately frustrated, in fact I didn't get frustrated at all which is surprising since I was depressed that morning thinking about art stuff. I consider that a hashtag #win. I started this with the constructiony drawings yknow I've been struggling with feeling like I can't construct the body so I was just messing around with ways of construction. Then I did the Roach drawing because I was like "let me go through the process of a sketch and then doing another layer on top like one would normally do". The anatomy on that drawing could be better of course and I stopped bothering with it because the anatomy was definitely fucked, I saw as I was drawing it my flaws and yet, again, no frustration or despair just "yeah I need to learn more arm anatomy", "I should do some more studies and figure drawings" etc.

I also did the lower right corner one after that just to mess around more with my anatomy ability particularly with the stomach because I'm a faggot with a fixation on that part of the body. Again though my anatomy knowledge made me stop definitely need work. The fact that I managed to draw all this without getting upset though is like a pretty big deal for me right now, who knows maybe I'll even get an illustration done eventually. One of my hopes for 2026 was to get 10 illustrations done so it'd be cool if I could acomplish that. Maybe finally draw the gore porn I've always wanted to draw, maybe this year I can try goretober and draw more than 1 day who knows haha.

After that I just started doodling my sona to fill the canvas up, the first one I did was that middle one because I was messing around with style stuff sorta, like cool shapey chibi? You can see a sort of similar idea in this red drawing, of course that includes drawing pants. I definitely need to figure out where I'm going with my style and after I finish the Proko anatomy courses I might do some style studies and other misc studies before I get back to fundamentals studies so I can work on figuring my art out more. I know I want more spikes and rust though so I did the spiky practice at top, like a failed attempt at cypersigilism or metal logo type thing. Definitely need to work on my ability to draw cool spiky stuff, there's an artist I found out about recently called Shibamoto Thores and I love the spiky stuff in her art so she's definitely in my list of artists to study specifically for that (though her work is course just really nice just most aspects of it isn't what I'm going for). While it'll obviously vary, I wouldn't do this everytime, I want to be able to create illustrations that have tons of things on them like spiky accents on the frame and such, like greebling and horror vacui. Also I need to do some bug studies so I can draw actual bugs and not symbolic representations of them and yes that is a fly with a giant cock in the upper left corner because as guy who wants to draw twinks getting fucked by large bugs I thought it was funny.
