January 23rd Gestures

Since I'm going back to doing anatomy studies I'm going gestures again. I showed these to my friend Ian for feedback and it told me some of these have good weight to them but are kind of lacking and it said I should really try to get more of that anatomy and structure in even if they're a minute. It also told me to not do the square heads, not sure i'll do the loomis head like it did in it's drawovers of my gestures but idk try something out. It also suggested maybe do it in 2 minutes so maybe I'll try that sometime maybe give another shot at the 1 minutes with trying to do more structure and if i can't maybe extend the timer. Would mean less photos I have to post since I'd reduce the amount to 30 gestures instead of 60. Not sure how well I'll do with any of that because honestly I feel like I struggle with having control of my lines that's why they're so messy and I was surprised when Ian said i had good line confidence cause I do not feel like I do at all.
To some degree I wonder where does a gesture drawing even end, is a 2 minute drawing that tries to have structure really a gesture drawing? I've heard some say that gesture is about what the figure is doing rather than what they look like and it seems everyone has completely different ideas to what a gesture drawing should even look like or be.
