Brush Test Doodles

Was looking at some artists that inspire me such as VonKreepula and it made me wanna mess around with what brushes I had to see what they can do. You can see with the flat marker I tried doing something more akin to digital painting though definitely didn't put much effort into it, but it was a fun exercise especially with using an off white color and trying to push the colors in my art more towards a bit of an orangey red. Normally I use literal white and literal black a lot in my work, and while I'll probably still use literal black it's good to experiment more and such. I don't know if I'll go for rendering and colors like VonKreepula but it'd be fun to do as a style study some time, though there are other artists who I think I wanna render more like, but who knows i'm relearning how to draw and refinding my style so we'll see. I also liked how the kid marker brush affected the color of the lines because its set to darken, need to mess with layer styles and stuff more.
Also found myself really enjoying the look of the rough pen but I don't know if it'll be able to replace hhh 2 cause I really like the texture of that brush too. I actually spent a good bit of time messing with settings of duplicates of those brushes to try to see if I could maybe combine aspects of the two into something I like but couldn't get a result I want. Maybe I'll force myself to use it instead sometime, seeing it in a regular drawign rather than stupid little doodles might change my mind on it. We'll see.
