This time the study is on the upper back and I definitely struggled with this more so I'll probably benefit when I do a second pass on it later. In particular trying to figure out whats muscle whats shoulder blade what's a different muscle (fucking rhomboid) is very difficult. It doesn't help that I think I have difficulty connecting the arm to the torso, it's a tricky area for me for some reason.

I think I've decided once I finish this anatomy course I'm going to take a break from practicing and try to go back to doing regular art, it just seems like the best thing to do for now. I still wanna work on improving in areas but I really think at this point the best way to improve my art is to start doing art I care about, to start trying to push my art towards the direction I'm heading. Not to say I won't go completely without practice but it'll be less sticking to a fundamentals course and more "i wanna practice rendering latex cause I wanna draw latex" and similar things. It also seems like the best way to get out of the practice trap and to deal with the anxiety and depression I've been having surrounding art a lot lately. Maybe sometimes and with some pieces I'll do a little bit of practice before hand, I still have a lot to improve at after all, but yeah I think I'm taking a break from it for now and will just try to push myself in more regular art. I need to get some mileage on drawing the art I actually wanna draw before I think about going back to practice. I've been talking the talk and I've gotta start walking the walk.

If I keep doing these everyday (which i know i'm bad at) I should be done with this anatomy course by April 24th at the earliest and then I gotta try to adjust into the swing of making art again. I think I'm definitely a much better artist now and hopefully can keep improving as I do regular art again as well, there's a lot I wanna draw and hopefully I don't get frozen with choice paralysis haha. The reason there's no play art for this is also just cause I got distracted playing video games and by the time I finished the game I was tired and then I spent the rest of the day reading the manga Sleeping Dead which I'm surprised it took me this long to get to and Donnie thought I already had, very good manga. I need more cannibalism in my art... what if Roach had to eat human meat hmmm. Much to think about.
