Desmond
Todd's family originally worked under Desmond's as servents and as such the two spent a lot of time together due to being the same age. Todd himself was expected to grow up and be another servant for the family working under Desmond when he takes over, however before any of that the Earl family went bankrupt laying off all their workers and losing their house. Todd and Desmond tried to keep their friendship but circumstances strained it over the years particularly as they grew as different people. Desmond often comes to Todd for cash, a place to crash, or for another one of his get rich quick schemes, Todd often begrudingly helps him often telling the man what an idiot he is as they go along, while he wouldn't admit it he just appreciates being able to see Desmond and wouldn't want to lose him again.
